DriveClear Jamaica Fees & Refunds Policy
This policy explains DriveClear service charges, official or third-party amounts, cancellations, and when a refund may be available.
Version driveclear-account-legal-v5 · Effective September 24, 2026
1. Free ticket check
The initial DriveClear traffic-ticket lookup is free. A free lookup may show traffic matters and known official amounts returned by the information source, but it does not include paid resolution work, a warrant investigation, legal representation, or government/court payments.
2. Standard resolution service
For one to four outstanding tickets, the standard DriveClear fee is JMD $2,000 per ticket. For five outstanding tickets, the bundled resolution/administration fee is JMD $8,500.
Each additional outstanding ticket above the first five is JMD $1,800, unless a different approved customer-specific or subscriber price is shown in the quote.
3. Warrant-related service
An upcoming court date is displayed to customers and can be referred for lawyer representation on request. The standard attorney professional fee for one court appearance is JMD $18,500. This is separate from DriveClear service fees; it is quoted after an independent attorney confirms availability, scope and engagement. A passed court date may call for a manual warrant check; the lookup alone never confirms a warrant.
Where a case requires a separate warrant investigation, the warrant-check fee is JMD $3,800 per applicable case. This is a case-level investigation charge, not a charge per ticket.
If a warrant is subsequently confirmed and the customer asks DriveClear to coordinate the resolution process, the DriveClear warrant-resolution service fee is JMD $30,000 per confirmed warrant. Government, court, attorney, or other official amounts remain separate.
4. Monitoring service
DriveClear Monitoring is priced at JMD $1,380 per month when the service is activated. Automatic traffic-ticket checks and Monitoring deadline/change reminders are provided only while the subscription status is ACTIVE.
While Monitoring is ACTIVE, the DriveClear resolution/administration fee is JMD $1,250 per ticket. There is no subscriber five-ticket bundle and no separate subscriber additional-ticket rate. When Monitoring is not active, the standard resolution pricing applies.
Customers without an ACTIVE Monitoring subscription may still sign in and run a fresh ticket check manually. Manual rechecks do not include automatic 24-hour monitoring or Monitoring deadline/change reminders.
5. Official and third-party amounts
Government or court amounts, attorney professional fees, and other verified third-party charges are not DriveClear service revenue. DriveClear will identify these separately where they are known.
Official amounts can change after a quote if an authority updates the record, adds a lawful charge, or provides corrected information. DriveClear will update the customer before collecting a materially different amount where reasonably practicable.
6. Cancelling before work begins
If you cancel a paid DriveClear service before substantive work on that paid service begins, you may request a refund of the unearned DriveClear service fee, less any non-refundable third-party cost already incurred specifically for your matter.
7. After work has started
Once substantive administrative work has begun, DriveClear may retain the portion of the service fee reasonably attributable to work already performed and non-refundable costs already incurred. Any remaining unearned DriveClear service amount will be reviewed for refund.
A warrant-check fee is generally treated as earned once the warrant investigation has been initiated. A warrant-resolution fee is reviewed according to whether resolution work has started and what non-refundable costs have been incurred.
8. Government, court, and attorney funds
If funds intended for a government authority, court, attorney, or other third party have not yet been remitted or committed, DriveClear will review whether they can be returned. Once funds have been remitted or a third-party obligation has been incurred, any refund is subject to the rules and decision of the relevant recipient.
Attorney professional fees are also subject to the attorney's own engagement and refund terms.
9. Online payments
Eligible issued invoices may be paid online through DriveClear's secure WiPay hosted checkout. Card details are entered on WiPay's hosted payment page. DriveClear does not ask customers to send card details through the portal, email, chat, or staff messaging.
The checkout may present one total containing separately identified DriveClear service fees and government/court amounts. DriveClear keeps those components separated in its financial records even when WiPay processes one customer transaction.
WiPay processing charges are borne by the customer where the hosted checkout displays them. A later amount identified after a warrant check, court update, corrected official record, or approved service change is not automatically charged to the card used for an earlier transaction; the updated amount must be shown through a new or revised customer-visible charge.
10. Duplicate or erroneous payments
If you believe you paid twice, paid the wrong amount, or a payment was recorded against the wrong case, contact DriveClear through the client portal as soon as possible. DriveClear will investigate the payment record and correct or refund an amount where the records show that a refund is due.
11. Chargebacks and disputes
You do not give up any legal rights by contacting DriveClear first about a disputed payment. Prompt notice gives DriveClear an opportunity to investigate the case record, payment evidence, and any onward remittance before the dispute escalates.
12. How refunds are returned
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment channel where reasonably possible, subject to the capabilities of the payment method used, fraud controls, and any legal or accounting requirements.
